March 20th was the first official day of spring and you can certainly feel that a new season is upon us. The birds are singing happy tunes, flowers are in full bloom, and the winter months are coming to a close. To help ease into this fabulous season, I wanted to do a post on all things blue. It is my opinion that this color perfectly embodies the newness and beauty that comes with spring.

The color blue is often associated with peace and loyalty. It is a tranquil hue that reminds people of God’s beautiful creation as seen through the sky and ocean.
In the springtime, I enjoy utilizing the color blue with subtle accents of green. Sometimes green will be the dominant color, but this combination truly produces both a calming and restful atmosphere.
To help create a more natural look, it is fun to include different elements of nature in the decor. In the above picture, I love how there are both seashells and flowers uniquely placed within the hutch.
While a little bit out of focus, I love the beauty of this tablescape and the different hues of blue that are used throughout the spread. The tablecloth in particular is absolutely stunning.
Once again, I used both blue and green in this delicious looking table spread of sweets. It was fun to include pops of pink as well.
These blue vases are gorgeous. I encourage you to make use of your china in practical ways, such as turning different pieces into vases. I love how elegant these particular vases become when paired with the right floral arrangements. Doesn’t this picture remind you of springtime? I took this photo, and the photo of the blue tablescape, at Rogers Garden.
I am glad to have transitioned into a new season and look forward to seeing the beauty that will continue to blossom throughout the months ahead. Happy Springtime!
