Last week, I went to the Laguna Design Center for the annual Spring Market. It was incredibly inspiring, and I wanted to share this experience with you!
One of the keynote speakers, Susan Hable, discussed how to utilize color when choosing your design inspiration. Her textiles are also worth mentioning because they are incredibly unique. If you have a minute, you should go and check out some of her fabric.
During the Spring Market, I also went to a class on electric window treatment put on by Hartman and Forbes.
Cassaro Fabrics were featured during the Spring Market and for good reason! These textiles are highly curated, original and influenced from Persian heritage. Below are some of the Cassaro fabrics that I enjoyed at the market and some that are currently trending.
Robert Allen is another designer that I enjoy. His textiles are a bit more vibrant and are inspired from trips around the globe.
Aren’t these chairs fabulous? They are covered in Robert Allen fabric and stand out amidst the light gray and blue tones in the room.

Here are some beautiful carpet samples. I was inspired by all of the options!
These are some of the designs, at the Spring Market, that I loved! They are all simple, yet elegant.
Did you notice that the base colors for most of these designs are a light gray or brown? Silver or gold are also prevalent in each design with subtle hints of vibrant color to add more depth.
Once again there is a common thread in both of these designs. Creme is paired with black. There are also hints of gold or silver displayed in both designs. The creme helps balance the harsher colors and make each room feel more welcoming. The black automatically gives each room a certain sophistication. Personally, I like the purple fabric paired with the creme and black. This simple addition of color and texture adds more warmth and depth to the design. If you have a highly contrasted room, consider adding a softer hue to help bring everything together.
I enjoy the galvanized fixtures paired with the lighter birch wood. It easily adds a more rustic feel to the entire design. Isn’t this candle holder darling?
I had such a great time at the Spring Market in Laguna Beach and I am eager to stay inspired by reading French Chic Living… stay tuned for more inspiration!
