August? How is this even possible? It seems like yesterday I was shedding tears over final projects being due and scrambling around town buying gifts for year-end parties. How is it that the time to buy school supplies and set alarm clocks is just around the corner? My dad was a junior high school teacher for more than 30 years; long enough to see his brother, dozens of cousins, all three of his own daughters, and many, many second generation students pass through his class. Kale Salad with Grilled Chicken
Summertime is full of seasonal fresh produce! In the area that I live, we have access to lots of local farmers markets, which makes it convenient to feed my family lighter meals packed full of nutrients that are ready in no time. So if you’re a mom I want you to sit with me and read this blog as a ... continue reading...

The thrill and anticipation of summer vacation is tangible right now at our house. I know from many, many years of experience, though, that the novelty of summer vacation will wear off quickly, and before I know it, my kids will be telling me how bored they are. Although I’m not a fan of overplanned ... continue reading...
