Are you ready for some summer fun? Here are some summer essentials that the whole family will enjoy!
If you find yourself near Los Angeles, I encourage you to visit Au Fudge! This family-friendly space is both a restaurant, summer camp, and marketplace. I absolutely fell in the love with the place and wanted to highlight this unique and inspiring venue.
While I hope that everyone can visit Au Fudge at some point, below are some other ideas for the whole family to enjoy this summer:
- Make Ice Cream! When it is hot outside, it is fun to cool off with homemade ice cream! Making ice cream is a fun and rewarding summer project! Not only does this encourage bonding time in the kitchen, but it also produces a sweet moment to savor together in the hot summer sun.
2. Create your own popsicles as a family. If you are not a fan of ice cream, I love this cute popsicle maker! Here are some great recipes to help you get started. Just in case you need some more popsicle inspiration, here are a few more recipes to get your mouth watering:
Blueberries and Cream Popsicles
3. Depending on where you live, plan for a beach day, weekend or week! Don’t forget to bring some cute buckets, shovels, toys and cute beach towels for the kids to play with and enjoy.
4. Cook together as a family. If it is too hot outside, spend time cooking together in the kitchen! Making ice cream and popsicles is fun, but the summer is a great time to invite your children into the kitchen. To get started, purchase a good cookbook, meal plan together, prepare for some glorious chaos and then allocate time to cook together each week. I recommend getting The Kew Garden’s Children’s Cookbook.
