April has arrived and the stores are beginning to reflect this fact. Easter is less than 3 weeks away! Can you believe it? To celebrate, I wanted to share some ideas about how to spring into this special day. I recently visited a wonderful home and garden store where every year they greet spring in a grand way. This store inspired me to write this post and share some of my Easter traditions.
Every Easter, I look forward to decorating eggs with my sweet niece. It is an auntie tradition. My niece is on the left and her friend is pictured on the right. Decorating eggs is a fun and creative way to spring into the season.
Decorating eggs is not only a fun project for kids, but it is also a great way to add some unique Easter decor to your home! I like keeping the eggs out for others to see. You can make it look more elegant by placing the eggs on a china plate or by adding some more natural materials to help fill the plate.
Deviled egg chicks are a cute DIY project you can make to add some festivity to your family Easter dinner. In order to make these at home, first boil a dozen eggs. After the eggs cool down, cut the top off and hollow out the egg. Add mayo and mustard to the egg yolk and stir until it becomes creamy. Once the mixture is smooth, place it in a pastry bag and fill the hollowed egg with mixture. Add two capers for the eyes and slice a piece of bell pepper into a triangle for the beak and presto you have cute baby chicks!
By adding a few pops of color, cute little chicks, and bunnies the table is ready for Easter brunch! I love keeping the overall spread simple and elegant, but it is always fun to add some different accent colors or pieces for each holiday.
These beautiful plates are from Pottery Barn. I love the colors and pattern.
For those that live in the area, Rogers Garden truly is a splendid place to visit. These decorated eggs would make a lovely addition to any Easter brunch.
Last, but certainly not least, don’t forget to add some flowers to your decor. Any of these will make a beautiful arrangement! Flowers are a simple way to brighten a room.
