I am not sure how the time has passed by so quickly, but we find ourselves two weeks away from Christmas Day. After Thanksgiving came to a close, I began to decorate my home for the holidays with rich red hues, white, brown, and dark green.
When people walk into my home, they are greeted by this lovely red wreath. It is amazing how simple it can be to spruce up your home for the holidays.
These wreaths and beautiful red mercury glass pillar holders can be found at Pottery Barn. The color red truly is a must for the holidays.
Stars, bows, and santa claus also make an appearance on my stairwell to warmly greet any guest. I encourage you to get creative with your decor! You can easily add ornaments to your garland or neatly place them on a simple wreath.
This year I enjoyed adding hints of silver and gold to my Christmas decor.
Neutral colors help everything mesh together. It is also nice to add different textures to your decor to make it stand out a bit more. I interweaved some burlap and pinecones to one of my garlands to give it a warmer and more outdoorsy feel. When paired with gold, the natural elements appear more glamorous.
Bows are both an easy and beautiful way to liven up a room. Once again, I decided to combine both red and a neutral color to keep things toned down and cohesive. Do you see the ornaments?
To spread the holiday cheer throughout my home, I placed some larger ornaments on a centerpiece in my living room and changed out some of the pillows.
How do you decorate for the holidays?
