With St. Patrick’s day in sight, here are some fabulous recipes and crafts that I found to help with the festivities.

I love the simplicity of this shamrock cupcake. If you want to add a bit more green you can easily add some food coloring to the icing and swap vanilla cake for chocolate. The options are endless. I think that cupcakes are always a fun way to celebrate different occasions with your own creative style. Feel free to visit Sara Collett’s blog to take a look at her vanilla cupcake recipe.

If you don’t fancy corn beef, consider boiling some homemade spinach pasta and lightly sprinkling it with olive oil and cheese. This delicious looking pasta was made with only 3 ingredients. To make your own spinach pasta, please visit Bell’alimento for some yummy pasta inspiration!

For more fun ideas, please peruse through the following:

1. For a fun and colorful play dough recipe, check out Just a Pinch Recipes. This is a great craft to make with the little ones.

2. I love the simplicity of the craft that I found on Sweet Little Peanut. If you want to pull out the paints and cut up a bell pepper, this craft is sure to put a smile on many faces!

3. Want some creative St. Patrick’s day decor? Consider making some adorable shamrock straw toppers.

4. One way to help your kids understand the meaning of St. Patrick’s Day is to listen to Saint Patrick: A Heart Afire by Adventures in Odyssey. This is a really fun way to bring everyone together and I am sure it will be enjoyable for the whole family.

I hope this post has given you some fun ideas to try leading up to St. Patrick’s Day!
